Victoire CMS is an Open Source CMS built as a Symfony Framework Bundle. In development since 2015 the tool makes use of Doctrine ORM for storage and a lot of other standard components from the Symfony ecosystem.

Grav is a fresh flat-file database which is easy to install. It uses a number of Symfony components and is very fast to get started with.

  • Being able to adopt into any Full Stack Symfony project

  • Contemporary admin user experience
  • Fast to install and get started with
  • Extensible via Plugins, Skeletons and Themes
  • A fresh codebase, no PHP4 cruft here
Main disvantages
  • Not a very known project with limited adoption
  • Currently dependent on efforts of one agency
  • Not proven for enterprise grade projects where Symfony Framework shines

 

  • Limited use cases due to flat-file approach
  • Limited developer base
  • Needs more work to round the edges in real-world use
